MEMORIAL TO JOE BURNS, LYNCHED IN BERKELEY COUNTY, WV ON FEBRUARY 19TH, 1886
The Eastern Panhandle Community Remembrance Project Committee of the NAACP is raising $1,000 to pay for a roadside marker to memorialize the lynching of Joe Burns; Mr. Burns was murdered in 1886 in Berkeley County. The memorial roadside marker will be produced by WV Archives & History and installed near the tree from which Mr. Burns was lynched.

How to contribute
Donations can be made several ways:
